Green tea, The Best Drink for Reduced Risk and Treatment of Hypertension

Regular drinking of green tea may have a potential effect in maintaining normal blood pressure and reduced risk of hypertension, a recent study suggested.

Hypertension is an abnormal high of blood pressure, one of the major risk factors in the contributed early onset of cardiovascular disease.

Green tea, considered as a functional food, linking numbers of health benefit has been reported by several renowned research and studies. However, as yin in nature herbal medicine, or food, long term injection of large amounts may obstruct the balance of yin-yang, induced "yin excessive syndrome" or "yang vacuity syndrome" including weaken immunity and painful case of GERD,... according to traditional Chinese medicine's Yin-Yang theory. Adding one slice of ginger will do the trick of neutralization.

Hypertension of male Wistar rats induced by the nitric oxide synthase inhibitor [N-nitro-L-arginine-methyl-ester (L-NAME); 20 mg/kg per day, orally, for 2 weeks], fed with green tea extract exhibited a strong effect in reduced hypertension (119 ± 1 mmHg) and higher renal sympathetic nerve activity (161 ± 12 spikes/s) than the control group (97 ± 2 spikes/s).
Green tea oral administration also showed a significant decreased in hypertensive parameters by ameliorated.arterial baroreceptor function and vascular and systemic oxidative stress.

Furthermore, in a total of 20 Otsuka Long-Evans Tokushima Fatty (OLETF) rats at 13 weeks old with metabolic syndrome randomized into a saline-treated group (OLETF; n = 10) and a group treated with decaffeinated-GTE (25 mg/kg/day) (GTE-OLETF; n = 10), group fed with decaffeinated-GTE significantly reduced BP (OLETF vs. GTE-OLETF; 130 ± 7 vs. 121 ± 3 mmHg, p = 0.01) in compared control fed with saline.

The study also suggested that fed mice with green tea also showed an antihypertensive effect in reduced vascular reactive oxygen species (ROS) formation and NADPH in the generation of ROS, as well as improving endothelium (cell lines the interior surface of blood vessels and lymphatic vessels)and lymphatic vessels dependent relaxation.

Dr. Ihm SH, the lead author said," (green tea extract) improved endothelial dysfunction and IR, and eventually lowered BP".

Taking together, there is no doubt that green tea processes a significant effect in reduced risk and treatment of hypertension through reduced oxidative stress and improved vascular relaxation as well as decreased metabolic syndrome in exaggerated hypertension.

Ginger, the Anti Chronic Mild Stress and Arteriosclerosis Natural Remedy

Scientists may have found a natural remedy that processes the potential to treat chronic mild stress, according to studies.

Acute stress is a natural and emotional reaction that arises in response to a terrifying or traumatic event or witnessing a traumatic event. People react to acute stress differently depending on life experiences.

Chronic stress, a medical condition is a result of a person who can not respond to emotional pressure properly, leading to traumatic stress which he or she can not control.

Untreated ongoing chronic stress has been found to exacerbate many serious health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and personality disorders.

Epidemiological studies suggested that certain physical health problems are also associated with patients with long-term stress, including heart disease, high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms, heart attacks, and stroke.

There are many risk factors involving the onset of chronic stress. However, job-related chronic stress has been found in most American adults in the Western world.

The American Institute of Stress in examing the chronic stress in American adults wrote, "Numerous studies show that job stress is far and away from the major source of stress for American adults and that it has escalated progressively over the past few decades. Increased levels of job stress as assessed by the perception of having little control but lots of demands have been demonstrated to be associated with increased rates of heart attack, hypertension, and other disorders".

According to the American Workplace VII statistics, 80% of workers feel stress on the job, nearly half say they need help in learning how to manage stress and 42% say their coworkers need such help.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) or ginger root, the second superfood used for thousands of years by mankind, is the genus Zingiber, belonging to the family Zingiberaceae, native to Tamil.

The root has been used in traditional and Chinese medicine for the treatment of dyspepsia, gastroparesis, constipation, edema, difficult urination, colic, etc.

Researchers on finding natural ingredients or whole food for the treatment of chronic mild stress (CMS), a major contribution to atherosclerosis in the previous study examined the effects of 6-gingerol (6-Gin), a phenolic component of ginger (Zingiber officinale)anti chronic stress activity.

6-gingerol (6-Gin) has long been found to process numerous pharmacological properties, such as anti-inflammatory and cardioprotective effects, according to epidemiological studies.

CMS ApoE-/- mice used in the study were given a high-fat diet (HFD) to induce the development of atherosclerosis in-fed before administrating 6-Gin.

Mice were exposed to CMS for 20 weeks, at week 5, they were fed with a high-fat diet (HFD), then received 6-Gin (20 mg/kg/day, intragastrically) treatment.

CMS before application of a high-fat diet exerted a significant effect in reducing body weight gain, sucrose preference, and locomotor activity, the expression of some of the core symptoms of depression.

Furthermore, CMS mice fed with a high-fat diet (HFD) after week 5 also showed the increased plaque formation, the elevation of plasma total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterin, and proinflammatory cytokines including TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6, all indicated the development of atherosclerotic lesions.

However, the injection of 6-Gin not only reduced the expression induced by a high-fat diet but modulated the function of enzymes activated glucose and fatty acid uptake and oxidation, catalyzed the committed step in fatty acid synthesis, produced cholesterol, and other isoprenoids, particularly the lipid synthesis in the liver tissues.

These results suggested the role of ginger in the alleviated atherosclerotic lesions and reversed the expression levels of lipid profiles and inflammatory cytokines in stressed mice.

Dr. Wang S, the lead scientist wrote, "the antiatherosclerotic effects of 6-Gin is mediated in part by the AMPK signaling pathway, which is closely associated with cholesterol synthesis and lipid accumulation".

Where AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) plays a key role as a master regulator of cellular energy homeostasis, in response to low glucose, hypoxia, ischemia, and heat shock.

Additionally, CMS also showed an improvement in several aspects of chronic stress on the injection of 6-Gin.

The finding clearly suggested 6-Gin attenuates arteriosclerosis in ApoE-/- mice exposed to CMS and HFD, and it may be a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of atherosclerosis similar to that of conventional medicine.

Taken altogether, ginger processed abundantly bioactive compound 6-gingerol may be considered a functional remedy for the prevention and combined with the primary medicine for the treatment of chronic mild stress and atherosclerosis, pending to the confirmation of large sample size and multicenter human study.

Ginger, the Natural and Potential Chemotherapy

Scientists may have found a kitchen spice that processes the potential to induce cancer cell death by cytotoxicity, according to studies.

Cytotoxicity is a process that stimulates the ability of certain chemicals or mediator cells to destroy living cells.

In herbal medicine, injection of plant extracts in some cases also induce cytotoxic effects to kill cancer cells without causing harm to nearby healthy cells through the protection of increased production of antioxidant enzymes.

In other words, the use of herbal medicine for the treatment of cancer can induce no side effects.

In cancer, the cytotoxic activity is carried out by the overexpression reactive oxygen activity, leading to cancer cell apoptosis through a number of mechanisms, including cell death programming and cell cycle arrest proteins.

In healthy cells, the ROS cytotoxic activity can also cause significant damage to the proteins, lipid, and DNA, leading to the onset of chronic diseases, including cancer.

Some researchers suggested that activating the expression gene associated with tumor suppression to prevent the damage of healthy cells during the injection chemo drugs may provide a necessary step for the prevention of chemo side effects in cancer patients.

Dr. Chit Fang Cheok, in the differentiation of protecting normal cells from the cytotoxicity of chemotherapy, wrote, "The occurrence of intolerable side effects in patients undergoing chemotherapy is still a major clinical hurdle. Finding tumor-specific therapy and exploiting the differences between normal cells and tumor cells has led to strategies targeting oncogenic mutations or the deficiency of tumor suppressor pathways in cancers".

And, "The concept requires the use of two drugs, the first to arrest the normal cells and the second, to kill only cycling (tumor) cells".

More interestingly, "several recent studies demonstrate that p53 activation protects normal cells from the toxicity of drugs acting in the S-phase or M-phase, including Ara-C,2 taxol,3 Aurora kinase inhibitors4, and Polo-like kinase inhibitors".

These results strongly suggested the model provided by the herbal medicine may some days be used by conventional medicine for the treatment of cancer without causing severe side effects.

Researchers on finding a natural ingredient for the treatment of cancer examined the ginger cytotoxic activity on cancer cells.

In vivo, researchers compared the anticancer effect of ginger in a total of 80 OV and nitrosamine (OV/ DMN)-induced CCA hamsters fed with the ginger extract at doses of 1000, 3000, and 5000 mg/kg body weight daily or every alternate day for 30 days vs control groups consisting of 10 hamsters for each group fed with 5-fluorouracil (positive control) or distilled water (untreated control).

Injection of crude ethanolic extracts of ginger at a dose of 10.95, 53.15, and 27.86 μg/ml with Median IC50 (concentration that inhibits cell growth by 50%) values exerted strong cytotoxicity and antioxidant activities.

The crude ethanolic extracts of ginger demonstrated a 7-9 fold in exhibited the function of genes associated with the transportation of the chemo drugs observed by the DNA fragments on the cancer cell line.

The extract also induced acute and subacute toxicity at the maximum dose of 5,000 mg/kg body weight.

Furthermore, the injection displayed a strong effect on the survival time and survival rate of the CCA-bearing hamsters compared to the control group (median of 54 vs 17 weeks.

Dr. Plengsuriyakarn T, the lead scientist said, "Results from these in vitro and in vivo studies thus indicate promising anticancer activity of the crude ethanolic extract of ginger against CCA with the absence of any significant toxicity".

Moreover, in the examined ginger anti-cancer activity, researchers investigated the cytotoxic and antitumor activity of ginger essential oil (GEO).
GEO showed potent in vitro cytotoxic activity against DLA and EAC cell lines. The IC50 values for DLA cell line and EAC cell line 18 μg/ml. were found to be 11 μg/ml and 18 μg/ml, respectively.

However, on L929 cell lines and to Vero cells, The IC50 of GEO was found to be 41 μg/ml and ˃100 ug/ml, respectively, a significant higher compared to the DLA cell line and EAC cell line.

Additionally, treatment with GEO (500 mg/kg and 1000 mg/kg body weight) significantly reduced the volume of solid tumor development by 54.4% and 62.4% respectively and the lifespan was increased up to 50% in 1000 mg/kg b. wt GEO treated ascites tumor-induced animals.

The findings once again, reconfirm the cytotoxic and antitumor effects of ginger.

Taken altogether, ginger, the kitchen and pungent spice may be considered a functional food for the prevention and combined with primary therapy for the treatment of cancer with no or little side effects, pending to the validity of large sample size and multicenter human study.

Honey Speeds Up Wound Healing with Anti infection Activity

Honey may have a strong effect in speeding up wound healing, some scientists suggested.

Wound healing is the natural process by covering up the damage and injury of the body,

The process involves 4 phases
* The first phase of wound healing is cover up the wound. In this phase, the immune first line of defense white blood cells stimulates the emergency repair system in the production of blood clotting to block the drainage.

* In phase 2, the white blood cells activates the proteins associated with the inflammatory cytokines to destroy the pathogens before they can enter the body through the wound.

* In phase 3, new blood vessels and tissues are formed in the damage and injury area.

* The recovery phase.

However, the healing process is easier said than done, the complex process in many cases are interrupted by local and systemic factors, including moisture, infection, age, and nutritional status.

Some researchers also indicated that in phase 2, due to overexpression of inflammatory cytokine, some patients may experience symptoms of localized redness, swelling, and fever.

And, the overexpression of inflammatory cytokines can also cause damage to the nearby healthy cells, leading to improper healing with the formation of large and irreversible scars.

However, people with a weakened immune system may compromise acute wound repair that promotes nonhealing wounds.

Dr. Amanda S. MacLeod, the lead author in the concerns of the immune responses to acute and chronic wound said, "The innate immune system comprises a network of interacting mechanisms that provide a rapid response to clear microbial contamination upon skin injury" and "In the development of chronic wounds, this process stalls in the late inflammatory stage. The major defect in nonhealing wounds occurs at the phenotypic switch from inflammatory macrophages to an anti-inflammatory phenotype".

These results clearly, suggested, the failure to switch from the phase of proinflammatory cytokines to the phase of anti-inflammatory cytokines due to the weakened immune system in the activation of p38, can lead to delayed wound healing and abnormalities in chronic wounds.

Honey is the miraculous product made by bees using nectar from flowers.

The rich golden liquid It is considered one of healthy sweet food for replacing the use of white sugar and artificial sweetener by many people.

In the referring traditional use of honey for wound healing and an alternative natural antibiotic due to the advent of antibiotic resistance in microbial pathogens, researchers reviewed articles outlined publications regarding honey and wound healing that have been published between June 2010 and August 2016.
The findings suggested that multiple types of honey demonstrate their mechanisms of action as antimicrobial agents, immunologic modulators, and physiologic mediators.

In the evaluation to examine the healing effects of honey dressings compared to silver dressings for acute or chronic wounds, researchers launched a systematic review with meta-analysis consisted of six randomized controlled trial studies.

All studies showed that honey was more efficacious for wound healing than silver, as measured in the number of days needed for wounds to heal.

Honey turned out to have more antibacterial qualities than silver in-depth analysis.

Dr. Lindberg T, the lead scientist after taking into account co and confounders, said, "All the included studies based on burns showed the unequivocal result that honey had an even more positive effect than silver on wound healing".

The results pointed out that honey may have a potential effect in speeding up the wound healing and protect the wound against microorganisms infection.

Ginger, the Magic Pungent Spice for the Treatment of Muscle Pain

Scientists may have found a natural ingredient for the treatment of muscle pain with no side effects, according to study.

Muscle pain is the condition of pain that originated from the muscle. Muscle pain may be caused by injury or overexertion, infections of soft tissues, or inflammatory conditions.

Systemic muscle pain is the pain throughout the body, often induced by an infection, an illness or a side effect of long-term intake of certain medications, such as cholesterol medications.

There are many risk factors associated with muscle pain, including
1. Physical activity (PA) that requires the intensity, duration, and repetitiveness of muscular activity.

2. Occupations often involved static load, repetitive movements, and high peak forces, occurring for the prolonged duration are also some risk factors that causally relate to muscle pain development.

3. Overtraining in physical exercise.

Most muscle pains can be treated with over counter painkillers. If you are currently taking them for the treatment of muscle pain, please make sure you know all the side effects for preventive measures.

Researchers on finding a natural compound for the treatment of muscle pain quickly examined the effects of 11 days of raw (study 1) and heat-treated (study 2) ginger supplementation on muscle pain.

Study 1 and 2 were identical double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized experiments with 34 and 40 volunteers, respectively

Also, participants consumed 2 grams of either raw (study 1) or heated (study 2) ginger or placebo for 11 consecutive days and participants performed 18 eccentric actions of the elbow flexors to induce pain and inflammation.

According to the assays, ginger showed a significant pain reduction in 24 hours after eccentric exercise compared to placebo.

There was no significant difference between both types of ginger and placebo on other measures.

Daily supplementation with ginger reduced muscle pain caused by eccentric exercise, and this effect was not enhanced by heat-treating the ginger.

Dr. and colleagues wrote, "daily consumption of raw and heat-treated ginger resulted in moderate-to-large reductions in muscle pain following exercise-induced muscle injury".

In order to reveal additional information about ginger in treating muscle pain, researchers evaluated the acute effects of ginger on muscle pain, inflammation, and dysfunction induced by eccentric exercise.

The double-blind, cross-over design, included 27 participants performed 24 eccentric actions of the non-dominant elbow flexors and ingested a 2 g dose of ginger or placebo 24 h and 48 h after exercise.

Before ginger treatment, eccentric exercise caused moderate arm pain (39 ± 20 mm; mean ± SD) and dysfunction (14% decrease in ROM) and an increase in volume (1.8%).
Ginger consumption demonstrated no effect on muscle pain, dysfunction, or metabolic rate compared with the placebo before 24 hours.

However, after 24 hours, arm pain was reduced (13%, -5.9 ± 8.8 mm) the following day, 48 h after exercise.

Based on the finding, researchers said, "a single 2 g dose of ginger does not attenuate eccentric exercise-induced muscle pain, inflammation or dysfunction 45 min after ingestion. However, ginger may attenuate the day-to-day progression of muscle pain".

Take all together, ginger may be considered a functional alternative for the treatment of muscle pain after 24 hours, pending to the confirmation of large sample size and multicenter human study.

Healthy Food Cruciferous Vegetables, the Potential Treatment of Neurological Disorders

Neurological disorders are medical conditions characterized by any disorder of the nervous system caused by structural, biochemical or electrical abnormalities.

There are many forms of neurological disorders. The most common types of the disease are neurodegenerative disease, such as Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease, epilepsy. multiple sclerosis and Migraines.

Back pain associated with the related nerve damage is one of the common complaints in the US that send many patients to seek help from their doctor. Believe it or not, 80% of the US population will experience back pain at some time in their lives.

There is no single cause of neuro-dysfunction. Lifestyle, infections, genetics, and nutrition-related disease, environment, and physical injuries have been found to some major prevalent factors that induce the onset of neurological abnormalities.

According to the Medical press, globally, the burden of neurological disorders (Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke, epilepsy, etc) has increased substantially over the past 25 years. These may be results of over 25 years of economic expansion that have increased the living standard of millions of people in the Southeast Asian region.

The WHO in the evaluation of neurological disorder wrote, "Neurological disorders contribute to 92 million disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) in 2005 projected to increase to 103 million in 2030 (approximately a 12% increase). While Alzheimer's and other dementias are projected to show a 66% increase from 2005 to 2030".

Where one DALY represents the loss of the equivalent of one year of full health.

Believe it or not, there are more than 600 diseases of the central nervous system, including brain tumors, epilepsy, dementia such as Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease and stroke.

Cruciferous vegetables are a group of vegetables, belongings to the family Brassicaceae (also called Cruciferae) with many genera, species, and cultivated all over the world in suitable climate for commercial profits, including cauliflower, cabbage, kale, garden cress, bok choy, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and green leafy vegetables.

On finding a potential remedy for the protection of the brain functioning, researchers examined the effects of cruciferous vegetables are a key part of the arsenal of nutrition-based approaches for reducing the risks of neurological disorders.

According to the search of related articles, in animal model systems, cruciferous vegetables exerted the protective activity against neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.

In chemical analysis, the efficacy of crucifers in the inhibition of the onset and progression of neurological disorders was attributed to its most abundant bioactive compound the isothiocyanates, particularly sulforaphane.

Based on the findings, researchers said, "There is great promise for the regular use of cruciferous vegetables or supplements containing standardized levels of bioactive in the treatment and prevention of neurologic disorders".

And, " Many clinical and animal studies are underway, and the evidence is building to support this strategy".

Taken altogether, cruciferous vegetables may be considered functional remedies for the prevention of neurological disorders, pending to the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Healthy Food Broccoli's Sulforaphane (SFN) Protects Diabetics Against the Onset of Diabetic Cardiomyopathy Through Nrf2

Diabetes is a chronic condition caused by insufficient insulin entering the bloodstream to regulate the glucose.

In other words, diabetes occurs when cells in the pancreas dying off or receptor sites clogged up by fat and cholesterol. In some cases, diabetes is also caused by allergic reactions of cells in the immune system.

Most common types of diabetes are
* Type 1 diabetes, also known as juvenile diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes, the most common form diabetes found in children is a condition in which the pancreas does not produce any insulin. The most common form of type 1 diabetes is caused by genetic mutation and some viruses.

As of today, there is no cure for type 1 diabetes. Treatment is focusing on managing blood sugar levels with insulin injection, diet, and lifestyle change.

* Type 2 diabetes is a medical condition characterized by insufficient insulin entering the bloodstream to regulate the glucose due to either cell
Diabetic cardiomyopathy is a complication found in patients with diabetes associated with reducing the heart function in circulating blood through the body, leading to heart failure and increased the accumulation of fluid in the lungs.

Diabetic cardiomyopathy is classified into different types, depending on the damage that has been affected, including
* Microangiopathy is a disorder that affects small blood vessels, leading to impaired myocardial blood flow reserve.

* Autonomic neuropathy is a disorder that affects the nerves that manage everyday body functions, leading to abnormal blood pressure, heart rate.

* Endothelial dysfunction is a disorder associated with the damage of vascular endothelium. The condition is considered an early event of cardiovascular disease.

The most common causes of diabetic cardiomyopathy are myocardial dysfunction in the absence of overt clinical coronary artery disease, valvular disease, and other conventional cardiovascular risk factors, such as hypertension and dyslipidemia.

Broccoli is a mustard/cabbage plant, belongings to the family Brassicaceae. The veggie has large flower heads, usually green in color with a mass of flower heads surrounded by leaves and evolved from a wild cabbage plant from the continent of Europe.

With an aim to find a natural food for the prevention and treatment of heart diseases, researchers examined the effect of sulforaphane, an active compound and an Nrf2 activator found in broccoli on diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM), male db/db and age-matched wild-type (WT) mice.

According to the experimental results from the analysis of broccoli sprout extract (BSE) by gavage every other day for 3 months, with four groups: vehicle (0.1 ml/10 g), BSE-low dose (estimated SFN availability at 0.5 mg/kg), BSE-high dose (estimated SFN availability at 1.0 mg/kg), and SFN (0.5 mg/kg),

* BSE, like SFN, showed a significant up-regulation of the Nrf2 transcriptional activity involved in the enhancing antioxidant enzymes observed by the increased Nrf2 nuclear accumulation and gene expression.

* The increased levels of antioxidant enzymes exerted a strong effect on the prevention of cardiac oxidative damage and inflammation.

* Additionally, the BSE at high dose provided a similar effect as did SFN.

Based on the results, researchers wrote, " BSE at high dose prevents DCM in a manner congruent with SFN treatment. Therefore, it suggests that BSE could potentially be used as a natural and safe treatment against DCM via Nrf2 activation".

Taken altogether, broccoli sprouts processed abundantly SFN may be considered supplements for the prevention of diabetic cardiomyopathy, pending to the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Intake of SFN in the form of supplements should be taken with extreme care to prevent overdose acute liver toxicity.

Manuka Honey, the Best Natural Liquid for Treatment Atopic Dermatitis, Researchers Reveal

On seeking natural therapy with no side effects, scientists may have found a herbal remedy for the prevention and treatment of atopic dermatitis, according to studies.

Atopic dermatitis or eczema is an inflammatory condition associated with red and itchy skin.

Most cases of atopic dermatitis are found in children. However, adults may also get it too. Skin irritation is found more often in children compared to adults.

The causes of atopic dermatitis are unknown. Some researchers suggested that certain risk factors such as genetic preposition and abnormal function of the immune system and environment conditions may be involved in the development of the disease.

Epidemiological studies suggested that most patients with chronic atopic dermatitis also have asthma and hay fever, particularly in allergies.

Some researchers suggested that atopic dermatitis is more common in people who live in the air pollution city.

Dr. Ahn K in the study of the role of air pollutants in atopic dermatitis, wrote, " Both indoor and outdoor air pollution, which are of increasing concern with urbanization, are well-known environmental risk factors for asthma, whereas there is relatively little evidence in AD".

And, " epidemiologic and experimental data on the role of air pollution in patients with AD. Recent evidence suggests that a variety of air pollutants, such as environmental tobacco smoke, volatile organic compounds, formaldehyde, toluene, nitrogen dioxide, and particulate matter, act as risk factors for the development or aggravation of AD. These air pollutants probably induce oxidative stress in the skin, leading to skin barrier dysfunction or immune dysregulation".

The results clearly suggested the risk of atopic dermatitis increases with air pollutants.

Honey, the rich golden liquid is the miraculous product made by bees using nectar from flowers.

The liquid is considered one of the healthy sweet food for replacing the use of white sugar and artificial sweetener by many people.

Researchers in the course to find a natural ingredient for the treatment of dermatitis examined the Manuka honey anti-skin conditions and dermal injuries.
Injection of Manuka honey showed a significant potency in the treatment of a severe atopic contact dermatitis eczematous reaction with no side effects.

Furthermore, adult volunteers with bilateral atopic dermatitis (AD) were asked to apply MH on one site overnight for seven consecutive days and leave the contralateral site untreated as possible.

There are no significant changes in the skin staphylococci observed after day 7, irrespective of honey treatment.

However, MH treatment showed significant inhibition of proinflammatory cytokines in a dose-dependent manner.

The application of MK also inhibited mast cell degranulation against the onset of atopic dermatitis (AD).

Dr. Alangari AA, the lead scientist said in the final report, "MH is potentially effective in the treatment of AD lesions based on both clinical and cellular studies through different mechanisms".

Taken altogether, Manuka honey may be considered a functional remedy for the prevention and treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD) with no side effects, pending to the confirmation of larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Broccoli Exerts Anti-Metastatic Activities Via Innate Immune Cell Activation

Cancer is a class of diseases associated with irregular cell growth on the tissue of the specific organ.

Most cases of invasive cancer can spread to other organs in the body via lymph or blood.

According to the statistics provided by the Cancer Institue, between n 2011–2015, the number of new cases of cancer is 439.2 per 100,000 men and women per year (based on 2011–2015 cases).

The number of cancer deaths (cancer mortality) is 163.5 per 100,000 men and women per year.

In cancer cells, due to the alternation of DNA, can grow indefinitely.

Cancer cell metastasis is the process that cancer cells break away from the primary site and travel through the blood or fluid circulation and form new tumors (metastatic tumors) in other parts of the body, similar to those of primary cancer.

The immune system is the set of cells and their activity against antigens or infectious agents that comprises the body's defense system against diseases.

Through the expression of the lines of defense, depending on the stage of pathogenic invasion, the innate immune response protects the body via a different set of interactions.

In the acute phase of infection, the macrophages in the immune system stimulate the production of inflammatory cytokines to the site of the damage. The inflammatory cytokines not only play a critical role in stopping the stimuli from entering into the body but also speeds up the wound healing through growth factors.

The innate immune system also can destroy the damaged cells such as cancer cells through the T cell activation of B cells which in turn stimulates the production of a protein associated with the production of antibody p53.

Some researchers suggested immune system also can kill cancer cells by reacting to activating cytokines (IFN-α/β, IL-12, IL-15, IL-18, IL-21) produced by tumor cells or by other immune cells stimulated by tumor cells.

Broccoli is a mustard/cabbage plant, belongings to the family Brassicaceae. The veggie has large flower heads, usually green in color with a mass of flower heads surrounded by leaves and evolved from a wild cabbage plant from the continent of Europe.

On finding natural food for the prevention and treatment of cancer proliferation, researchers examined the anti-metastatic activities of polysaccharides in broccoli, including BCE-I mainly consisted of galactose and arabinose, whereas BCE-II mainly consisted of galacturonic acid and rhamnose, and BCE-III mainly consisted of rhamnose and galactose.

According to the results of the analysis,
* BCE-I showed the greatest enhancement the pro-inflammatory proteins such as tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin (IL)-12, and IL-6 secretion by stimulating murine peritoneal macrophages in the immune response.

* Furthermore, intravenous (i.v.) administration of BCE-I enhanced the lethal activity on YAC-1 tumor cells significantly and dose-dependently in an ex vivo by exhibiting the natural killer (NK) cells.

* On lung metastasis of Colon26-M3.1 carcinoma cells, prophylactic i.v. and oral administration of BCE-I significantly and dose-dependently inhibited lung metastatic activity.

In other words, the inhibitory activity of BCE-1 on lung metastasis are depending on the NK cell function in GM1 activity.

Based on the results, researchers wrote, " BCE-I has potent antitumor metastatic activity, and that its anti-metastatic activity has relevance to the stimulation of NK and other immune cells".

Taken altogether, broccoli sprouts processed abundantly SFN may be considered supplements for the inhibiting the cancer cell metastasis, pending to the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Coffee and Coffee caffeine, In Attenuated Risk of Ulcerative Colitis?

Epidemiological studies do not agreed that intake of coffee and coffee caffeine regularly may have a profound effect in attenuated risk of ulcerative colitis.

Coffee, a popular and social beverage all over the world, particular in the West, is a drink made from roast bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease characterized by long-lasting inflammation and ulcers (sores) in the digestive tract.

In the reviewed study of a total of 442 patients 73% regularly consume coffee. 96% of patients attributing a positive and 91% of patients attributing no impact of coffee intake on IBD regularly drink coffee and surprisingly even 49% of those patients that assign a negative impact on disease symptoms, researchers at the University Hospital Zurich found that most patient with IBD showed a coffee drinking habit and addressed that coffee has helped to modify symptoms of the disease.

Other in the total of 81 UC patients recruited at all stages of the disease process, after completion of a 7 d diet diary, Caffeine, and decaffeinated coffee showed a clinical significance in reduced risk of UC and may be considered a functional food included in the potential therapeutic diet.

Dr. Magee EA, the lead author said, " ......decaffeinated coffee was associated with a better clinical state than the caffeine-containing version".

Contrastively, the investigation of a population-based, case-control study of the risk of ulcerative colitis-associated with coffee and alcohol use among the 304,000 members of a prepaid health plan, coffee expressed no association with either amount of coffee consumed daily, or cumulative coffee consumption before disease onset and altered the risk of developing ulcerative colitis.

Taking all together, the findings showed an inclusive result of the efficacy of coffee and coffee caffeine consumption in reduced risk of ulcerative colitis. Therefore more cohost with large sample size studies is necessary before coffee can be confirmed as a functional food for use in reduced onset and treatment of ulcerative colitis.

Green Tea, the Best Functional Food for Oral Health

Green tea is found to consist a potential effect in the promotion of oral health against bacterial-induced tooth decay or cavities, a renowned institute suggested.

Green tea, a precious drink processes numbers of health benefits known to almost everyone in Asia and the Western world. However, as yin in nature herbal medicine or food, long term injection of large amounts may obstruct the balance of yin-yang, induced "yin excessive syndrome" or "yang vacuity syndrome" including lack of energy, weaken immunity and painful case of GERD,... according to traditional Chinese medicine's Yin-Yang theory.

According to the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Polyphenols including epigallocatechin 3 gallate (EGCG) isolated from green tea ameliorated oral cavity oxidative stress and inflammation, cigarette smoking and cigarettes' deleterious compounds nicotine and acrolein.

Dr. Narotzki B, the lead author of the study said, " Generally, green tea defends healthy cells from malignant transformation and locally has the ability to induce apoptosis in oral cancer cells. Altogether, there is an increasing interest in the health benefits of green tea in the field of oral health".

In the review of beneficial effects of green tea on oral disease, researchers found that green tea not only reduced the bacterial activity in the oral cavity in the expression of the aforementioned oral afflictions but also attenuated the risk of oral cancer through the antioxidant activities.

EGCG, in Solobacterium, moorei, a volatile sulfide compound (VSC)-producing Gram-positive anaerobic bacterium study, displayed a significant effect in inhibiting the growth of S. moorei, with MIC values of 500 and 250 μg/ml resulting in reduced the adherence of S. moorei to oral epithelial cells.

The study also suggested the efficacy of green tea extract and EGCG protected oral health by inhibited the progression of Solobacterium moorei probably through the ameliorated S. moorei's β-galactosidase activity in the production of volatile sulfide compound (VSC) in doses dependent manner.

Green tea with abundant natural compounds may be the next generation of whole food used a therapeutic supplement in promoted oral healthcare.

Ginger, A Natural Treatment for Parkinson disease (PD) with No Side Effects

Scientists may have found a natural compound for the treatment of Parkinson's disease (PD) with no side effects, according to studies.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a disabling, progressive condition caused by the gradual loss of neurons cells.

In other words, PD is a cognitive deficit associated with the interruption of frontal-subcortical loops that facilitate cognition and parallel the motor loop and loss of substantia nigra pars compacta (SNc) dopamine (DA) neurons.

According to the statistics, more than 10 million people worldwide are living with PD. In the US, every year, 60,000 adults are diagnosed with PD. Approximately, 95% of people diagnosed with PD are over 50 years of age.

PD can be classified into 5 stages, depending on the severity
* Stage 1

In stage 1, symptoms of PD do not interfere with daily activities.

* Stage 2
In stage 2, the symptoms start to get worse over time. Making living alone to carry daily task now may be difficult.

* Stage 3

The symptoms are now interfering with daily activity, including the impairment of dressing and eating.

* Stage 4
The symptoms are severe with limited functioning, Patients in this stage have required the help of others to carry out daily activity.

* Stage 5, the most advanced stage of PD. Around-the-clock care is required for all activities.

The exact causes of PD are unidentified. However, the epidemiological study suggested that age and sex, genetic factors, head trauma, exposure to chemicals, long-term use of certain medications and drugs are some of the prevalent risks of Parkinson's disease (PD).

Some researchers suggested lifelong cigarette smoking may have a strong impact on the risk of PD.

Dr. Chaoran Ma, the lead scientist wrote, "Evidence from epidemiological studies suggests a relationship between cigarette smoking and low risk of Parkinson disease (PD). As a major component of tobacco smoke, nicotine has been proposed to be a substance for preventing against PD risk, with a key role in regulating striatal activity and behaviors mediated through the dopaminergic system".

And, "Animal studies also showed that nicotine could modulate dopamine transmission and reduce levodopa-induced dyskinesias".

The results strongly suggested that if you smoke, your risk of PD is increased substantially compared to never smoke healthy adults.

Researchers in the concern about Parkinson's disease (PD) associated with the progressive degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the nigrostriatal system and dopamine (DA) depletion in the striatum, examined the Zingerone and eugenol, essential oils extracted from ginger and cloves, free radical scavenging and antioxidant effects.

Rodents used in the study were induced PD by injected with 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) intracerebroventricularly.

According to the assays, daily oral administration of eugenol/zingerone and injection of L-DOPA intraperitoneally for 4 weeks following a single 6-OHDA injection did not improve abnormal behaviors induced by L-DOPA treatment.

Where 3-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)-L-alanine (L-DOPA) is the most popular therapeutic medicine for treating PD with adverse effects.

However, injection of zingerone and eugenol alone enhanced the reduction of striatal DA and its metabolites and zingerone decreased the oxidative stress and increased the levels of antioxidants such as glutathione peroxidase and the oxidized L-ascorbate in the striatum.

In other words, compared to the effects of zingerone against PD through its antioxidant activity, pre-treatment with zingerone or eugenol do not prevent 6-OHDA-induced DA depression by preventing lipid peroxidation.

Taken altogether, ginger may be considered a functional spice for the prevention and treatment of PD, pending to the confirmation of larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Cruciferous Vegetables in the Prevention and Treatment of Colorectal Cancer

The colon-rectum formed a part of the digestive system is involved in the absorption of water from the small bowel contents and broken down of certain materials in the feces into substances of which some of them to be reabsorbed and reused by the body.

Colorectal cancer is a medical condition caused by cell growth irregularly in the tissue of the colon or rectum due to the alternation of cells DNA.

Colorectal cancer is relatively very common and slowly progressing cancer.

Overall, the lifetime risk of colorectal cancer developing is 1 in 22 (4.49%) in men and 1 in 24 (4.15%) in women.

According to the statistics provided by the American Cancer Society, in the US, colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women compared to other types of cancer.

The lifetime risk of colorectal cancer is 1 in 22 (4.49%) for men and 1 in 24 (4.15%) for women.

Approximately, 140,000 cases of colorectal cancer were diagnosed in the US in 2018. Colorectal cancer also causes the death of over 50, 000 people, representing 8.3% of total cancer death.

In general, the 5-year survival rate for people with colorectal cancer is 65%. However, the 5-year survival rate of localized colorectal cancer is about 90%.

Being overweight or obese. smoking, physical inactivity, excessive alcohol drinking, aging, family and personal history, genetic preposition are some of the prevalent risks of the disease.

On finding a potential compound for the treatment of cancer, researchers examined the effects of cruciferous vegetables and their active compounds on colorectal cancer.

According to the dietary information, cruciferous vegetables modulated microRNAs (miRNAs) expression in the cancer cells and exerted chemo-preventive effects against colorectal cancers.

Cruciferous vegetables also interacted with the cancer-related gene and relevant signaling pathways to induce apoptosis and cytotoxicity.

Furthermore, by inhibiting the miRNAs expression associated with cancer biomarkers, cruciferous vegetables improved the diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers and utilized in cancer therapeutics.

Based on the findings, researchers wrote, "it is very possible that natural agents (not limited to those in cruciferous vegetables) enhance cancer therapeutic efficacy and elicit chemopreventive effects through modulating key miRNAs".

Taken altogether, cruciferous vegetables may be considered functional foods for the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer, pending to the confirmation of the larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Green Tea, The Best Functional Food In Reduced Risk and Treatment of Breast Cancer

Green tea may be the next generation of inexpensive herbal medicine for reduced risk and treatment of breast cancer, a renowned institute study suggested

Breast cancer (malignant breast neoplasm) is cancer that starts in the tissues of the breast either from the inner lining of milk ducts (Ductal carcinoma) or the lobules (Lobular carcinoma) that supply the ducts with milk. there is also rare cases that breast cancer starts in other areas of the breast.

Green tea, a precious drink processes numbers of health benefits known to almost everyone in Asia and the Western world. However, as yin in nature herbal medicine or food, long term injection of large amounts may obstruct the balance of yin-yang, induced "yin excessive syndrome" or "yang vacuity syndrome" including weaken immunity and painful case of GERD,... according to traditional Chinese medicine's Yin-Yang theory.

According to the joint study lead by the Xinyang Normal UniversityHenan, Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a bioactive compound in green tea inhibited the risk of breast cancer through many mechanisms involving primarily in cell death and survival.

The study also insisted on the efficacy of Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) in reduced risk of breast cancer probably due to the main function in induced cancer cell cycle arrest in interference of cell division.

In MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell line, Epigallocatechin gallate isolated from green tea induced apoptosis and inhibited tumorigenesis through the expression of multiple signaling pathways in breast cancer cells.

Also, EGCG decreased MDA-MB-231 cell viability and significantly downregulated the expression of β-catenin in regulated the coordination of cell-cell adhesion and gene transcription, according to Western blot analysis as patients with breast cancer is found to associate to high levels of β-catenin in breast cancer tissue than in normal tissue.

Dr. Hong OY, the lead author said, "EGCG inhibits the growth of MDA-MB-231 cells through the inactivation of the β-catenin signaling pathway. Based on these promising results, EGCG may be a potential treatment for triple-negative breast cancer patients.".

In polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) accumulated in human breast cancer tissue induced the growth of estrogen-sensitive tumors, EGCG inhibited the early onset of breast cancer by modifying estrogenic activity against cell proliferation in a dose-dependent manner.

Furthermore, at a dose of at 25 μM, EGCG also exerted antiproliferative and pro-apoptotic action in the activation of the ERβ receptor.

With all the information collected above, green tea, containing rich sources of anti malignant and nonmalignant tumors phytochemicals, may be considered as a functional food in reduced risk and treatment of breast cancer.

Coffee and Coffee Caffeine Elevated and Ameliorated Menopause Symptoms Differently

Menopause is a natural and biological progression of women at a certain age. The reduced hormone levels of the inaction of ovaries induced menstruation stop and a set of symptoms

Coffee, second to green tea, is a popular and social beverage all over the world, particularly in the West, made from roast bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

A study conducted by a renowned institute suggested that coffee and coffee caffeine may have a potential effect in reduced severity of some menopause symptoms and elevation of others.

In a cross-sectional survey conducted using the Menopause Health Questionnaire, completed by 2,507 consecutive women with menopausal concerns at the Women's Health Clinic at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN) between July 25, 2005, and July 25, 2011, caffeine intake in participants showed a greater positive effect in the expression of a vasomotor symptom of menopause women in compared to nondrinkers group.

Other, in a cross-sectional study of a community-based sample of 243 women with vasomotor symptoms to evaluate the menopause symptoms of hot flashes (HF) and night sweats (NS) in symptomatic middle-aged women, intake of coffee showed to elevate symptom of hot flashes (HF) and night sweats (NS) in compared to nondrinkers.

And caffeine intake also is found as one of the predictors in exhibited both hot flashes (HF) and night sweats (NS) in the same study group.

But in the animal model, according to the behavioral tests and oxidative stress parameters in ovariectomized mice, caffeine intake also showed a significant in reduced symptoms of anxiety induced by oxidative stress.

Administration of low doses of caffeine, for a short period of time, maybe a new therapeutic approach to modulate the oxidative stress and anxiety in menopause, the "Iuliu Hatieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy postulated.

Taking all together, coffee and coffee caffeine may have a strong effect in reduced and elevated menopause symptoms, in types depending manner.

According to Dr. Zhou, the scientist in the field of TCM, honey processed a cooling, hydrating and revitalizing properties and has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for purifying stimulant and a tonic against dizziness and hangover-upset stomachs.

Hangover is unpleasant physiological and psychological effects caused by the (over) consumption of alcohol, according to studies.

Most common symptoms of a hangover include a headache, drowsiness, concentration problems, dizziness, fatigue, and gastrointestinal discomforts.

The exact causes of hangover are unknown. The most common factor associated with a hangover is the accumulation of acetaldehyde, a highly toxic substance.

The conversion of acetaldehyde is a chemical process as a result of enzyme alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) which metabolizes the alcohol intake to acetaldehyde.

Depending on the individual variations in alcohol metabolism, some people may experience worse hangover symptoms than others.

Hangover symptoms are affected by alcohol tolerance which is measured by the bodily responses to the functional effects of ethanol in alcoholic beverages.

CYP2E1, one of the genes has been linked with alcohol tolerance. However, people with high alcohol tolerance are also more likely to develop alcoholism.

Dr. Claire Heit,, the lead scientist in the evaluation of the role of CYP2E1 in alcohol metabolism wrote, "Acetaldehyde (the direct metabolite of ethanol oxidation) contributes to many aspects of the behavioral effects of ethanol. Given acetaldehyde cannot pass through the blood-brain barrier, its concentration in the CNS is primarily determined by local production from ethanol".

And, "Catalase and cytochrome P450 2E1(CYP2E1) represent the major enzymes in the CNS that catalyze ethanol oxidation. CYP2E1 is expressed abundantly within the microsomes of certain brain cells and is localized to particular brain regions".

Honey, the rich golden liquid is the miraculous product made by bees using nectar from flowers.

The liquid is considered one of the healthy sweet food for replacing the use of white sugar and artificial sweetener by many people.

Scientists on finding a natural and potential compound for hangover relief examined the traditional medicine use of honey for preventing drunkenness and relieving hangover symptoms.

Intoxicated male mice selected to the study were assigned randomly either to low or high doses of lychee flower honey (2.19 or 4.39 g/kg body weight, respectively) that were single orally administrated 30 min before the ethanol intoxication of mice, followed by recording the locomotor activity by autonomic activity instrument and observing the climbing ability after alcohol or 2.19 g/kg honey that was single orally administrated 5 min after the ethanol intoxication of mice, followed by determining the ethanol concentration in mice blood.

Both doses of honey increased the autonomic activity of alcoholized mice.

Furthermore, intoxicated mice treated with 2.19 g/kg honey showed a decrease significantly of the blood ethanol concentration.

Additional differentiation suggested that The anti-intoxication activity of honey is attributed to the effect of the fructose contained in the honey.

Interestingly, honey inhibited hangover symptoms without affecting the levels of oxidative stress and antioxidant enzymes produced by the host.

The results showed that honey processed a direct anti-hangover activity in a dose time-dependent manner.

Taken altogether, honey may be considered a functional remedy to relieve hangover symptoms caused by alcoholic intoxication, pending to the confirmation of larger sample size and multicenter human study.

Green Tea Reduce Symptoms Expression and Complications of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Green tea exhibited anti-inflammatory effect in reduced symptoms and progression of
Rheumatoid Arthritis, a renowned institute study suggested

Rheumatoid Arthritis is a chronic disorder as a result of inflammation, affecting mostly the flexible (synovial) joints and tissues and organs in the body after the ages of 40 and causing the diminished quality of life of many elders.

Green tea, a precious drink processes numbers of health benefits known to almost everyone in Asia and the Western world. However, as yin in nature herbal medicine or food, long term injection of large amounts may obstruct the balance of yin-yang, induced "yin excessive syndrome" or "yang vacuity syndrome" including dizziness, low energy, weaken immunity and painful case of GERD,... according to traditional Chinese medicine's Yin-Yang theory.

According to the joint study lead by Washington State University College of Pharmacy, green tea (EGCG, EGC, and EC) showed to ameliorate the expression of pro-inflammatory mediators including (IL-6 and IL-8) and Cox-2 in primary human rheumatoid arthritis synovial fibroblasts (RASFs), through the effects of its phytochemical compounds of EGCG and EGC antioxidant activities.

Dr. Fechtner S, the lead researcher said," EGCG is the most effective catechin at inhibiting downstream inflammatory signaling, its effectiveness could be hindered by the presence of (epicatechin) EC".

In the investigation of the anti-inflammatory activity of green versus black tea aqueous extract in a rat model with orally/daily distilled water as the placebo, indomethacin (1.0 mg/kg body weight; a non-steroidal/anti-inflammatory drug), or tea aqueous extracts (for 28 or 14 consecutive days administrated from day 0 or 14 of arthritis induction, respectively), group treated with a high dose of GTE (from day 0) significantly alleviated (P < 0.05-0.001) the progression and all complications induced by rheumatoid arthritis in compared placebo.

More importantly, Researchers also found that the expression of the anti-arthritic activity of the high dose of GTE (from day 0) mediated by significantly decreasing the systemic production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and the expression of chemokine receptor-5, a protein in activated immune activities in the in synovial tissues, was comparable (P > 0.05) with that of indomethacin (12.9-53.8 vs. 9.5-48.4%, respectively).
Furthermore, the anti-arthritic potency of tea aqueous extracts was dosed dependent in the order of a high dose of GTE > low dose of GTE ≥ high dose of BTE > low dose of BTE.

Other study suggested that green tea extract in reduced symptoms and risk of complication probably are the result in regulating chemokine(a family of cytokines secreted by cells) production in an immune reaction and chemokine receptor expression in interaction with proinflammatory cytokines of human RA synovial fibroblasts in rat adjuvant-induced arthritis (AIA).

Taking together, green tea may be served as a functional food to reduce symptoms and risk of complications for patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Coffee(3 to 5 Cups/ Day) Has A Maximum Effect in Reduced Risk of Cardiovascular Disease

Coffee consumers may have one less risk to worry about. A recent study by a well-known institute suggested that long term and moderate coffee consumption is inversely associated with CVD risk.

Coffee, becoming a popular and social beverage all over the world, particularly in the West, is a drink made from roast bean from the Coffea plant, native to tropical Africa and Madagascar.

Cardiovascular disease is a medical condition characterized by a heart attack, chest pain (angina) or stroke caused by narrow blood vessels induced block blood.

In the review of literature existed from the database involved prospective cohort studies of the relationship between coffee consumption and CVD risk, 36 satisfied the guidelines included studies, with 1 279 804 participants and 36 352 CVD cases, coffee drinkers have a nonlinear association to the risk of CVD, depending to numbers of cup intake per day.

According to the joint study lead by the Harvard School of Public Health, the relative risk of cardiovascular disease in coffee consumption was .95 in compared with the 0 cups of coffee consumption per day.

Dr. Ding M, the lead author in the review said, "moderate coffee consumption was inversely significantly associated with CVD risk, with the lowest CVD risk at 3 to 5 cups per day, and heavy coffee consumption was not associated with elevated CVD risk".

In fact, long term moderate coffee consumptions not only reduced the risk of heart disease but also ameliorated other conditions associated with CV risk factors such as obesity and depression. However, the effect of caffeine in lipid files may associate with endothelial function in increased CVD risk, depending on how the coffee is prepared.

More importantly, epidemiological studies also suggest that risks of mortality in both CV and all-causes are substantially attenuated in regular coffee drinkers.

Furthermore, other researchers insisted that the health benefits of coffee consumption regarding cardiovascular system risk, mostly depend on its antioxidant compounds involved many factors, such as the variety of coffee species, roasting degree, type of brewing method, and serving size.

Since most of the data on coffee's health effects are based on observational data, risk of high caffeine adverse effects such as anxiety, insomnia, tremulousness, and palpitations have rarely be mentioned, therefore, more randomized, controlled studies are necessary, some researchers suggested.
