The Oral Contraception Pill
normally is prescribed by your doctor to reduce the heavy period blood

Other
types of progesterone like medicines, such as Provera, Duphaston, they
helps to relieve of menstrual cramp with no long term serious side
effects by creating the pregnancy-like state but their short term side
effects including spotting and bleeding.

1. Breast tenderness
Due to the absence of estrogen and high amount of progesterone hormone in the body, that can cause breast tenderness.
2. Weight gain
Since the pill creates a pregnancy state, it can cause weight gain such as you are pregnant.
3. Psychaitric Disorders
There
are reported that women who have taken the progesterone only pill can
increased the risk of developing of depression, anxiety, personality
disorders, irritability , etc.
4. Menstrual Changes
Taking
progesterone only pill can change your period. You may experience
irregular bleeding, period with shorter and lighter bleeding, etc.
5. Digestive Problems
The
progesterone pill can also cause heartburn, diarrhea or vomiting due to
persistent amount of synthesis progesterone in the body.

The Good, Bad and Ugly of The progestogen Only Pill
1. The good
a. It doesn’t interrupt sex.
As
we mentioned in the last article - women who take the contraceptive

the progesterone only pill decrease the levels of FSH that prevents the
increase in estradiol levels, leading to inhibition of follicular
development and the absence of a LH surge, thus preventing ovulation.

progesterone, and breast cancer risk looked at over 100 references and
found that only the synthetic progestins, particularly when given
continuously, increased breast cancer risk.
