Serves 4
Simple and delicious
2 large leeks- just the white part- check for residue, then cut into cork tube-shape
salt and pepper
glass of white wine
3 tbsp water
50 g /2 oz. butter
1. Place the leek pieces in the shallow pan. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Pour into wine and pepper, then add the butter. Put on the lid and
bring up to a simmer. Cook over the low heat for about 20 minutes p the
leeks should be beautiful tender.
